Each pupil is placed in one of our five Houses and is a member of a form group where the tutor provides daily guidance and support. We have an outstanding pastoral team who get to know each child very quickly and are therefore able to provide bespoke support wherever required. There is a real sense of community at our school which is evidenced in so many ways, whether it be in the curriculum, during break and lunch times or as part of our amazing extra-curricular programme.
We want the best for every child and have designed an inclusive curriculum that gives every child access to a wide range of knowledge that will assist them with the next stage of the education when they leave us. We have high ambitions for all and whilst we recognise that for some children there are aspects of learning that can be demanding, we take great pride in watching the amazing things that pupils achieve on a daily basis.
Our extra-curricular opportunities are a real strength of the school and we are proud of the diverse range of clubs, trips and opportunities that exist. Our staff really do go the extra mile and as a consequence the pupils at St Egwin's thrive on the array of activities on offer. There really is an extra curricular opportunity for everybody!
As the Headteacher I hold great pride and belief that a truly comprehensive and inclusive education is the entitlement of every child. I understand that education and life can be challenging but know that schools play a hugely important role in shaping futures so that our pupils go on to live successful lives, understanding the powerful Christian message of tolerance and love. I cannot begin to describe to you the sense of honour that I have in being given this privileged position.
I look forward to you working closely with myself, the staff and governors of St Egwin's. Through our successful partnership we hope to inspire every pupil to be the very best that they can be.
