St Egwin's has a bright and spacious library. There are settees, stools and chairs to create a comfy environment where the students can read. There is a wide selection of general fiction books, ranging from the old classic novels to the latest popular read. These are constantly updated throughout the year.
To enable students to complete work of projects in a quiet atmosphere, there are 2 oval tables with seating at the front of the library. These are also used for small group work during the school day.
There is also a varied selection of non-fiction books. These are sectioned into their various subjects to help with homework and projects. They include History, Geography, Science, Sports/Hobbies, Religion, Social and Environmental Studies. We also have a section on Self Help, known as Shelf Help Books to help with everyday living.
The Library also displays work completed by the students for activities and projects as well as motivational posters and colourful displays to make it a bright and positive place to be.
Meetings of staff and students take place in the Library and it has become a multiuse facility for all members of the School.
