What to do if asked to self-isolate

If my child is asked to self-isolate, do I need to isolate as well?

  • No, you don't need to self-isolate as long as your child is not displaying any COVID symptoms.

How long should my child self-isolate?

  • 14 days from the point of contact (school will inform).

What happens if my child starts to display symptoms?

  • Ring 119
  • Book test
  • Inform school
  • Household isolates.

If I have a child in another year group, are they able to come into school?

  • Yes, as year bubbles are kept separate they are able to come to school as long as they are not displaying symptoms.

If another year group is asked to self-isolate, is my child safe to come into school?

  • Yes, we are keeping all year groups separate throughout the day.

Should my child be completing work during the day?

  • Yes, there is home learning available on the pupil intranet. Please see ParentMail for details.
